We want to recognise an incredibly inspiring woman by the name of Grace Chikowi. Our founders, Anna & Andrew Baird first met Grace in December 2019 and were blown away by her story.
Grace works for our long-standing partners, The Hunger Project (THP) as a Nutrition, HIV and Gender Expert, and she epitomises the notion of women supporting women. Her amazing energy along with THP’s philosophy empowers thousands of women to lift themselves out of hunger and poverty.
This year, we’re proud to introduce the ‘Hornbill THP‘ sneaker! For every sneaker sold, $50 will be donated to support the community of Malawi, Africa as they work to sustainably end their own hunger. #baredcares
Available in two colourways, this minimalist low-profile style features two-toned leather panelling and the non-profit organisation’s initials in perforated detailing.
“The Bared community is helping to make a huge, tangible difference in the lives of so many people, as they work towards achieving self-reliance and sustainably ending their own hunger. This is so important especially right now given the COVID-19 pandemic is hitting vulnerable communities the hardest.” – Melanie Noden, CEO, The Hunger Project Australia
